From the late 1940's through the early 1970's, an incredible number of different plier tools designed for the fisherman were produced in Solingen, Germany and imported to America. (A few apparently stayed in Europe, mostly in the United Kingdom) Most followed a common theme, with non-folding plier jaws, and a knife blade and fish scaler that folded into the handles. Within this common theme, a truly mind-boggling number of variations can be found.
